GENESIS: Where Life Begins!
Nursery for ages 0-3
Salem invests a great deal of time, care, and attention into our nursery facilities and staffing so that parents can feel free to enjoy the services.
The toddler and baby nurseries are separated from each other with designated workers for each age group. Every volunteer is properly background checked and trained prior to serving in this important ministry. You will always find SBC’s nurseries to be clean and safe for your children to enjoy. When dropping off a child at the Nursery Desk, you will receive a pager so that you may be readily contacted in the event that a need should arise.

The NEST
Preschool and K-First Grade
The NEST (Nurture, Educate, & Strengthen for Tomorrow) is a Sunday morning class for 3-6 year olds. Each week, the children enjoy a craft, snack, game, and Bible story prepared specifically for their age. This ministry is assisted by well trained and faithful volunteers, ensuring that the student/teacher ratio is always appropriate.
Avery and Kathy Bundy have been teaching the PreK-Kindergarten class at Salem for many years. They are passionate about showing the love of Christ to children at an early age.

The HIVE
Second - Fifth Grades
The HIVE is one of the most exciting places on the campus of SBC. “HIVE” stands for Heavenly Instruction Valued Early.
This colorfully and creatively decorated children’s room is full of multimedia technology, games, activities, and even it’s very own prize counter. The carefully coordinated curriculum ensures that children have fun while learning about God and His Word.
The HIVE is led by Will and Sarah Wuertz. Will has a seminary degree in Pastoral Theology while his wife, Sarah, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education. Both of them have many years of experience working in children’s ministries and serving selflessly at SBC. The Wuertz’s have one daughter, Krystal-Anne.

Olympians - Word of Life
First - Sixth Grades (Wednesdays at 6:45 pm)
The Word of Life Olympians program is a Wednesday night children's club for 1st-6th graders. Word of Life is nationally recognized as one of the leading Christian children’s ministry curriculums available. This well-structured program focuses on daily devotions, Scripture memory, and community outreach. Participants have the opportunity to earn certificates, medals, and even college scholarships for their efforts.
The Olympians program is led by Sheree Schinzler. Sheree and her team of well-trained volunteers are gifted at providing an exciting and educational environment for everyone who attends this Wednesday night ministry.

Gopher Buddies - Word of Life
3 - 5 Year Olds (Wednesdays at 6:45 pm)
The Word of Life Gopher Buddies program is a special Wednesday night class for children ages 3 - 5. This is a fun time for children to make crafts, sing songs, and listen to a Bible story taught in an exciting and memorable way. The children are also given a daily devotional book which helps them to establish the routine of spending time with God while they are still young.
The Gopher Buddies program is led by Whitney Bradshaw (our pastor's wife). As the mother of two young boys herself, Whitney is tremendously skilled at engaging and instructing small children. Whitney and her assistants offer the children a creative and Christ-centered atmosphere each and every week.
