Class Activities
Every adult Bible class hosts fun and age appropriate activities on a regular basis. Whether it’s a game night, cookout, or volunteer opportunity, each activity provides an avenue to connect with other members of the church family, have fun, and make lasting memories with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
Conferences
Special conferences are the highlights of the year at Salem. SBC offers conferences uniquely designed for Men, Women, and Married Couples. Additionally, Salem hosts an annual Mission’s Conference each October. At every conference, we invite special speakers from across the country, enjoy uplifting music, and engage in unique opportunities for spiritual revival and refreshment.
Banquets
Salem hosts several banquets to celebrate special holidays throughout the year. The Christmas Banquet and Valentine’s Banquet are always highlights on the church calendar. Each banquet consists of a first-class meal and an entertaining program full of music, drama, and engaging group activities. These special events are greatly anticipated and well attended by SBC’s membership.
Church Outings
Salem is a church family, and sometimes families need to get together just to have fun! Our All Church Outings are a great way to bring our families together for a time of enjoyment and relaxation. The church calendar is filled with events such as trips to museums, ball games, picnics, zoo trips, rafting expeditions, movie nights, cookouts, and more.
Live Concerts
The preaching of God's Word is of utmost importance at Salem Baptist Church, but we also believe that spiritually uplifting music plays a big role in the life of a well-rounded Christian. Because of this, SBC hosts Gospel Music concerts from time to time. We are also blessed to be the home church of Central Illinois' premiere Gospel trio, State of Grace.
Library
When God wanted to communicate with mankind, He authored a Book - The Bible. SBC believes that books are very important. Accordingly, we have a space in our church specifically dedicated as a library. This ministry is a wonderful opportunity for you to check out helpful and Scriptural books on marriage, parenting, spiritual growth, finances and much, much more. We even have a section of great Christian films on DVD that you can check out for home viewing.
